Kathryn Oakes Hall
Kathryn Oakes Hall began preparing placentas in 2017, when she encapsulated her own placenta after the unmedicated hospital birth of her daughter. Since then, she received training from the International Placenta and Postpartum Association to prepare placenta capsules, prints, tinctures, and other services with sanitation concerns the highest priority.
In addition to placenta preparation, Kathryn is a co-facilitator for Birth Talk Los Alamos with Karen Brown and she is also co-facilitating the Los Alamos Infant Feeding Support Group with Alyssa Reeves. Both groups are programs of the Los Alamos Family Strengths Network.
Kathryn lives with her husband, toddler daughter, and rescued three-legged dog in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
