Ten Moons Collective formed when a group of women working with and advocating for birthing and newly parenting families came together in early 2013. We saw the need to support each other as professionals in this awesome and wonderful work, as well as getting the word out to our communities about what options exist for people transitioning into and through the childbearing year. We are based in Los Alamos County, New Mexico.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to this first-ever community sponsored and administered survey (to our knowledge) of local perinatal care needs. Results are in!
Our thanks again to the local businesses who generously donated five services for a giveaway to support the survey. It takes a village! We are grateful you are all part of ours.
The Collective consists of passionate and skilled members who look forward to supporting you in providing services and sharing other relevant community resources with you. Most Collective members are currently providing services as independent practitioners. If you wish to work with one of them, you can do so directly through their private business or employer. We look forward to hearing from you!
Want to get in touch with us? Contact Collective members individually or send an email to the Collective, email@example.com. You can also find us on Facebook.
Ten Moons...? Pregnancy is now typically dated by LMP (Last Menstrual Period) and ultrasound dating, but it has also been marked by the cycles of the moon since before modern technology made its advent. Lunar cycles provide a natural timeline for tracking the progress of a pregnancy--from the moon of the last menses before conception to the birth of a baby is typically ten full (or new) moons.
